“Deceased might live with us by end of 2023”

By Titos Makondo

Start regularly recording your parents, elders and loved one ones, says Dr Pratik Desai, a Silicon Valley Computer Scientist, who have predicted that by end of 2023, we should be able to upload dead’s consciousness to a computer.

Taking to Twitter, Desai claimed that by the end of 2023, we should be able to use computer to reconnect with deceased friends and family members.”Start regularly recording your parents, elders and love mates”.

“With enough transcript data, new voice synthesis and video models, there is 100% chance that they will live with you forever after leaving physical body. This should be even possible by end of the year”, he writes.

Despite the knowledge that we are living in a technological era where everything is possible through computers, his proclamation made rounds on social media, while leaving a sea of netzens in awe and mixed reactions.

Reports states that Desai is one of the many scientists who think that a new era of technological adulation is about to dawn as a result of the tremendous breakthroughs in AI being led by ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI based on the GPT-3-5 architecture. It is designed to understand and generate human-like-text, developing it to engage in conversation and answer question in natural way.

However, in a second thought, it produces responses with errors, factual incorrect information, excess words, plagiarism and miscommunication, as per Washington Post.
